The kind of astroherbalism and medical astrology that I practice is primarily informed by Hellenistic tradition, which was first practiced in ancient Babylon and Egypt in around 400 BCE. The history of astrology is a fluid and complex dialogue between peoples of many different lands, cultures and religions. I'll be adding a page to my website soon explaining the history of astrology from an intersectional POV - naming BIPOC and queer astrologers who have historically been erased from a discipline they pioneered.Although much of my practice is grounded in traditional Hellenistic techniques (whole sign, traditional rulers, planetary conditions/sects, etc.), I prefer to think of what I do as something that is ever evolving and changing, a relational, conversational practice which is as alive and ever-shifting as the traditions that laid the foundations for its existence.I aim to question some of the outdated language and interpretations in the astrology world, inviting conversations of how we can practice in a way that honours the ancient, but moves with shifting cultures, co-creating a healing practice that welcomes ALL to benefit from its magic.I hope that by taking this approach with my own work, I can honour astrology’s true origins as an art shaped through sharing, community and oral storytelling, interpreting timeless knowledge and archetypes in ways that feel inclusive and expansive for those that choose to work with me.

The energetics of the seven classical planets - Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn - are expressed in every living thing.The energies of the planets can be broken down in simple terms into the five elements - fire, earth, air, water, and aether. With my readings, I aim to take a holistic approach. That is, taking into account the physical, mental and spiritual body when interpreting a client’s natal chart and transits - not just focusing on the psychological self, which is how you might think of astrology at present.Together, we will dive deep into the seat of your soul and aim to make some sense of what is difficult about living. This means that in your reading, I will look at physical causes of suffering, as well as psycho-spiritual.Clients usually come to me with a question or a symptom, and we go from there, but specifics are not necessary - all you need to show up with is your openness and curiosity.

Mythology and unravelling its messages and meanings is a very important part of my practice; I am not a believer in the notion that we are in total control of our own destinies; we are influenced by many forces that are out of our control.I am a believer in fate, but not necessarily a staunch fatalist, meaning that I believe in more of a mycelial network of fates, that are changeable and fluid dependent upon the conscious choices we make.The fates are multiplicitous, and possibilities are infinite, however, we are still predisposed to experiencing certain patterns. It is how you choose to work with these energies that can shift your fate.My approach acknowledges the planets as deities, who all have certain things in store for you throughout your life. By learning about their mythology and history, we can begin to understand their archetypal energies, and how to work with them for guidance on our journeys.
